The National Association of Television Programing Executives annual convention will return to Miami Beach in 2015. Coming off the heels of an even more successful convention than 2013, NATPE CEO Rod Perth noted that Miami has become an important location for NATPE’s growing global activity. The city represents a powerful attraction for content producers and buyers from various colder U.S. markets as well as those from various Latin American countries.
“We are based here in Miami so we see this announcement as great news” said Tony C. Lesesne of the Lesesne Media Group Entertainment, which covered the event for its web tv channel for the last three years. ”Having NATPE in Miami is great for all involved, considering the brutal winters in the northeast, and the incredible growing regional and hemispheric content producers and buyers that are helping re-shaping traditional tv, web and mobile content.”
Lesesne complimented the NATPE planning committees and ground execution teams for touching on the right themes and topics, and creating an environment for synergetic dialogue. “The amazing leadership from Rod Perth at the helm and Jordan Levin who serves as Chairman has helped NATPE evolve to a level where even smaller players are able to gather and consider joint production and content development projects that may eventually attract the majors.” Lesesne also noted that NATPE has kept ahead of the content creation and marketing curve by including themes that deal with major aspects of the digital revolution.
