Auto Industry’s Newest Advances Take Center Stage at Ft. Lauderdale Auto Show

Manufacturers Showcase Recent Debuts to Car Enthusiasts

The 24th annual Fort Lauderdale International Auto Show rolls into the Greater Fort

Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center this March 19 - 22 with more than 500 cars,

trucks, SUVs and motorcycles filling the 200,000 square feet of exhibit space.

The four-day show, managed by the South Florida Automobile Dealers Association, will

showcase some autos being displayed for the first time in South Florida including the 2016

Buick Casada, the first Buick convertible in more than 25 years and the 2016 Hyundai Sonata

Plug-in Hybrid Electric.

Participating manufacturers also include: Acura, Alfa Romeo, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet,

Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus,

Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Ram, Scion, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo.

The annual Fort Lauderdale Auto Show benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward

County, having raised more than $4 million since the show’s inception in 1991. The auto show

is considered one of the charity’s top annual fundraising events.

“The South Florida Automobile Dealers Association is proud to present this auto show

which helps to support the on-going endeavors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County,”

said Ted Morse, show chairman. “Our show brings a wonderful entertainment experience

together with a great cause.”

On the attraction front, Chevrolet will be hosting a special Ride & Drive event

throughout the auto show. Select new Chevrolet vehicles are available for brief drives on the

streets of Fort Lauderdale during the following schedule:

 Friday, March 20, 2015 3:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.*

 Saturday, March 21, 2015 10:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.*

 Sunday, March 22, 2015 10:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.*

Inviting auto show visitors to an exclusive chance to “drive the future of tough,” the Ford

Motor Company will also be hosting a special Ride & Drive event throughout the auto show.

Featuring two F150 Super Crew 4x4 engine models (including Lariat 3.5L Engine and

King Ranch 5.0L Engine), the F150 Super Crew 4x2 Lariat 2.7L Engine model and the F150

Super Crew 4x2 XLT 2.7 L Engine model, Ford Ride & Drive schedules are as follows:

 Thursday, March 19, 2015 3:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.*

 Friday, March 20, 2015 3:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.*

 Saturday, March 21, 2015 10:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.*

All Ride & Drive event registration closes 30-60 minutes before end of event to ensure

all who register can drive.

Tickets for the Fort Lauderdale International Auto Show are $8 for adults and $3 for

children 6-12. Children under five are admitted for free. Discount tickets are available at

participating new car and truck dealerships, McDonald’s restaurants in Broward County. Show

hours are Thursday, March 19th 3 - 10 p.m.; Friday, March 20th 3 - 11 p.m.; Saturday, March

21st 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. and Sunday, March 22nd 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. For more information, visit

In addition to managing the Fort Lauderdale show, the South Florida Automobile Dealers

Association produces the Miami International Auto Show in November at the Miami Beach

Convention Center. This year’s 45th annual Miami show runs November 6-15.
