Welcome to the LMG Network. After years of planning, coordinating developing, programming and production development, the Lesesne Media Group (LMG) is on the verge of a new era. The LMG web content network is here; the equivalent to a television network that provides viewers a variety of content that can be delivered on various platforms. The Lesesne Media Group web network is more than your conventional web site. It is a web portal where the LMG studios will house a wide variety of expanding business, lifestyle and entertainment-focused web shows, news content, short films and event coverage. After publishing the iconic and award-winning IN FOCUS Magazine for more than 19 years, and having produced a slate of films over the past five years, LMG studios has taken a major step in multi-media content creation. Web television, commonly referred to as Web TV, is a rapidly growing genre of digital entertainment, using various forms of new media to deliver original shows or series to an audience. The LMG web network follows the format with content delivered originally online via broadband and mobile networks, web television shows, or web series. These shows are typically short-form (2–9 minutes per episode), episodic, and produced in seasons. LMG web shows will not only appear on Lesesnemediagroup.com, but also on major web television networks include: MySpace, YouTube, Newgrounds, Blip.tv, and Crackle.
LMG studios now join other major web television production companies that are growing and expanding across the nation and around the globe. As broadband bandwidth began to increase in speed and availability, delivering high quality video over the Internet became a reality. YouTube, Vimeo and DailyMotion launched their services to deliver original video. “What is all the more exciting is the opportunity to deliver exclusive content for online audiences created for mobile series to air on Sprint PCS Vision-enabled phones, iPhones and other personal devices” says Woodie Lesesne, President of LMG Studios. She added that future programming includes dramas, comedies, short films and live events. “There is a potential to acquire audiences in the millions” adds Tony C. Lesesne, CCO and co-founder of LMG. “The slate of programs presents a great opportunity for advertisers, sponsors and even positions our content to compete for Emmy’s Webbies and other notable awards” he added. These web serials highlighted interactivity with the audience in addition to the narrative on relatively low budgets.
The Internet continues to grow as a marketing tool and outlet for independent creators like LMG to display their original work. Web television continues to improve in quality, rivaling network television and Lesesne says their goal is to become as strong as ABC, NBC and CNN in content relating to issues, audience concerns, reality shows and even dramatic web-series. Online viewing was becoming less foreign to viewers and creativity flourished. “We are rapidly gaining popularity by demonstrating that our web television content is a legitimate medium, and that web series are here to stay” Lesesne added. When LMG founded the new Internet TV studio, is was a part of a plan to evolve the highly popular and successful IN FOCUS Magazine. Its flagship web show is IN FOCUS Magazine TV, named after the magazine. Leveraging its film operation, LMG’s internet TV studio will also produce content for other networks and film studios. The International Academy of Web Television formed in 2009, followed by the first awards program for the web television industry, called the Streamy Awards. The rise in the popularity of the Internet and improvements in streaming video technology mean that producing and distributing a web series is relatively cheap by traditional standards and allows producers to reach a potentially global audience who can access the shows 24 hours a day.
